Jaguar XK120,XK140 dhc/fhc:
The wood sets you see below received a complete
strip, repair and re-veneer. I find will wood of this age, some
parts usually have to be remade (often the end panels due to moisture
damage) and the centre draw is often missing, having been replaced
with a radio in past years.
I have done many XK wood sets over the years, and
highly recommend retaining as many of the original parts as possible.
A certain amount of hand fitting was involved from car to car, and
it is frustrating to find that a newly made set will not necessarily
fit properly without modification.

I highly recommend doing the complete car
set of wood at the same time if a good match throughout is desired.
Below is what new ELM burl looks like. You can
see it is not the yellowed out wood so often seen in 1991 and certain
1980's XJS cars.
I can eyematch a new console to a customer supplied
photo of their dash, but it will NOT be a perfect match. The ONLY
way to achive this is to do the complete car set at the same time.
